Sundays are for adventures.

Today Maegan, Nat and I went on an adventure around downtown LA. We went and checked out the park/bench from "500 Days of Summer" and than we went to an amazing coffee house called Bricks and Scones.. it was brilliant. (Sorry about the mixed up order of the pictures).

Not bad memories.. just memories

Today I've been thinking about Thomas a lot. I don't really know why, but I have. It has made me a little sad.. but only in a "those were good times" kinda way. Tomorrow would have been an anniversary for us.. maybe that's why? I don't really know.. but i've come to the conclusion.. or i've been realizing more and more I guess.. that i've come to the point with this break up that i'm not really sad anymore. I miss him dearly, and of course I love him so much.. I think a part of me always will.. but I don't focus on the bad, or the hurt when I think about it.. I think of the good times and the memories. I miss his family so much.. and I miss the little routine we had worked out over the summer.. it was a good summer and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I learned a lot, and everyday I am thankful for the relationship we had. Every country song still makes me think of him... sometimes they make me sad.. but I am very happy with my life right now and wouldn't change a thing. I've become stronger through this break-up and I learned even more about myself and what I want in a relationship. Thomas Andrew Wheelus, you were a good boyfriend. I miss you, but I'm ok.

Delta Zeta.

"From the outside you don't understand it, from the inside you can't explain it."

This last weekend we went on our Sisterhood Retreat. I love my house and all my sisters. They are so real and amazing.. my college experience would not be anything without Delta Zeta.

(I know I owe you all lots of posts, life has been NUTS, but i'll catch you up soon!)

advocate for love.

I am the biggest advocate for love. Recently I have become more and more aware of this fact and I will tell you why. Within the last month, the boy and I called it quits... for a while this had me a bit down, but with the help of my family, amazing friends and my Lord and Savior, I quickly picked myself up, called it a "learning experience" and I could not be happier with my life now.

In the midst of all of this, I have had two very important people in my life take the giant next step in their relationship with their men and are now in the process of planning their BIG day! and I could not be happier for them!
Which is what got me thinking, why in the world would I not be happy for them? Just because I am single, and just went through a break-up is no excuse to not be ECSTATIC for these women in my life!

I am an advocate for love. I think true and lasting love is something that is hard to find and can often times be rare.. so who would I be if I discouraged this? Regardless of what is going on in my life, I love love.. being in love, the idea of love, witnessing people in love.. I think it is a beautiful thing and I cannot wait for the day that I will begin to experience what these ladies have been so blessed to experience with their new fiance's!

A life without love.. Is really not worth living.. Love is all you need.

Happy Weekend!

Project time!

Last night was project night at the Box 2.0 (that's our apartments name). I had been wanting to paint a black side table I have in my room, so we got everything all set up, and all just kinda started painting whatever we felt. It was a collaborative effort and I couldn't be happier with it.

Fall.

Yesterday I woke up to the sound of rain! This is probably one of my favorite things, ever. I got all "cuddled" up for class, as much as I could at least, most/all of my fall clothes (including my UGGS) haven't made it here yet because I wasn't expecting this weather yet! So I wore a cozy new few thermal and borrowed a scarf from the roomie.

Anyway! For dinner, Gail and I went to Panera Bread (which I had never been too) and had yummy soup in a bread bowl! It was the perfect dinner for the weather.

I also decided to get a coffee and was soo soo excited when I told them I was eating there and they asked me if I wanted it in a paper cup or a mug, so I got it in a mug! Not only is this very "green" of them, but I also got to enjoy my super yummy coffee in a huge mug! (and being that I've been watching a ton of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and they always drink their coffee at the coffee shop in mugs, I was loving this!)
Hope everyone is enjoying this weather! Happy Fall!
